Mabel // Personal Branding // Vero Beach, Florida

Today on the blog, I get to feature a sweet friend, and the photos I captured from her personal branding session.

Mabel is a masters level music therapist currently providing Telehealth Music Therapy (virtual) sessions for adults and care providers of those with dementia and adults who are interested in wellness, grief and mental health support.

I have to say, this was one of the most peaceful sessions I've ever had, with Mabel playing her guitar as I photographed, lol!

Mabel sent me this sweet note and I had to included it in the blog post:

“I HATE photos.” That’s what I’ve always said. Let’s be honest, we all deal with insecurities and fear, and one of them for me is to stand and pose in front of a camera.

I’ve been practicing as a Board-Certified Music Therapist for almost five years now. In those years, I’ve been able to work with clients diagnosed with Dementia, support their caregivers, serve those healing from addiction in recovery centers, provided encouragement and strategies to expectant and new parents on how to bond with their baby through music, and be with those facing the end-of-life journey as a music therapist in hospice.

If you would’ve told me in my college years that as a professional I would be able to serve all of these individuals by sharing the healing power of music, I wouldn’t have believed it.

I am thankful for this opportunity, and I’m grateful that the Lord has led me through this path in which He has provided me with talents and skills to bless and support others.

Thank you Emily because you’ve allowed me to celebrate my role as a music therapist by capturing these professional photos. Not only was the shoot fun, but you also made me feel comfortable and confident. I will cherish these photos for years to come!

Mabel, it was such a pleasure getting to work with you for this shoot. You are so incredibly beautiful in every sense of the word. Oh, and thanks for serenading me during our session;) I'm not going to lie, the note you sent made me want to tear up. It brings me so much joy to know I was able to help someone feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera. You are STUNNING! Looking forward to collaborating with you again in the future!
